Programme Facilitator (Public Sector Partnerships)

Our agile team, based at our central HQ in Portsmouth are looking for a dedicated individual passionate about supporting young people to share their voice and develop their leadership skills. We are passionate about young people engaging with shaping public sector services and experiences through student voice.

Are you passionate about working with young people?

Join an exciting, fast-paced and growing social enterprise as our programme facilitator on public sector partnerships across Hampshire and beyond.

Unloc was founded in 2013 by award-winning young leaders and advocates Hayden Taylor and Ben Dowling. Our mission is to empower young people to be innovative changemakers who seek to build stronger communities and sustainable businesses. We develop young people’s skills, enhance their potential and boost their determination to succeed. This is encapsulated in our ‘Developing Young Potential’ tag-line. We work towards our mission by delivering inspiring educational programmes in our network of 100+ schools and colleges.

A key part of Unloc’s offer is the delivery of programmes which bring together young people to engage with public sector bodies such as NHS trusts and local authority departments. These programmes provide personal development opportunities for young people as well as providing a valuable outlet for public sector bodies to engage and consult with young people about the services they provide. An example of this is our partnership with a health trust, where-by we organise engaging day-long student wellbeing summits for school pupils from across Hampshire to attend on their behalf. Another example is working with a museum to empower a group of young people to deliver events on a key chapter of history to other young people in the community.

We pride ourselves on being innovative, embracing new technology and ensuring that we have young people at the heart of everything we do. This approach is summarised in the below 7 component pillars:

  • Developing young people’s confidence and aspiration
  • Tailoring programmes to meet young people’s needs
  • Investing in young people’s skills
  • Engaging young people through innovative approaches
  • Championing young people’s successes
