Unloc is a leading education non profit founded in 2013 by award-winning young leaders and advocates Hayden Taylor and Ben Dowling. We help schools, colleges and organisations inspire and empower young people to be changemakers through bespoke and innovative programmes in entrepreneurship, leadership, career pathways and student voice. We work towards our mission by delivering inspiring educational programmes in our growing network of schools and colleges.
Our mission is to empower young people to be innovative changemakers who seek to build stronger communities and sustainable businesses. We develop young people’s skills, enhance their potential and boost their determination to succeed.
We work with schools and colleges to create a multi-phase Changemaker strategy that includes a variety of Unloc programmes throughout the school or college journey. Our programmes are focused on developing:

Changemaker Studios are a collection of dynamic physical learning and development spaces committed to the advancement of entrepreneurship and leadership skills in young people. Changemaker Studios are located at different schools and colleges around the UK.
Unloc.online is a unique learning platform helping students aged 11-19 to explore entrepreneurship, employability, leadership and career pathways from the comfort of their home. Our interactive e-courses combine interactive content, such as videos, self-guided tasks and interactive quizzes with real-time feedback and support for students from Unloc’s Virtual Tutors.
We’re ultra flexible.
We don’t believe in standardised ‘off the shelf’ programmes. We build our programmes around your needs – your timetable, your students and your priorities.

During the February half-term and Easter holidays this year, 53 young people, in Year 11 and 12, from across Portsmouth participated in our ‘Portsmouth Inspires’ Programme, funded by NCS.

This year’s 2024 Young Entrepreneurs Challenge was extra special as we launched an all new category for young people with the initial sparks of an idea! Meet our three Ignite winners!
