Throughout her career, Kirsty has recognised that young people’s strengths and potential often extend far beyond what is visible in the classroom. She established debating societies, organised inter-school competitions and helped students navigate their choices beyond school. An experienced communicator and presenter, she has also led professional development, mentored colleagues and delivered workshops and presentations to a wide range of audiences. She particularly enjoys engaging with people, reading the room and knowing when a little humour can make all the difference.
Kirsty believes that understanding what makes young people tick is just as important as recognising what they can achieve academically. She joins Unloc determined to help young people build confidence, overcome barriers, whether real or perceived, and discover just how much they are capable of achieving, both professionally and personally.
Fluent in French, with a strong command of Spanish and conversational Dutch, Kirsty enjoys singing, playing the piano, cooking, cycling, kayaking and frightening herself silly watching horror films!
