Impact in focus: The Marketors’ Trust
We work with many organisations to provide the many experiences, courses & opportunities we offer. This year we wanted to take some time to recognise one of these important organisations, The Marketors’.
If you’re aged 16 – 26 and live in Camden then it’s time to put your life stage centre and join our exciting new film making project!
Only you can tell your story, and your story is unique. Here’s your chance to put it on screen and share it with the world through our week of free film-making masterclasses, leadership development, and inspirational guest speakers!
You’ll learn new skills, find your voice, tell your story through the medium of film, and drive positive social change. The projects outcome will be completed by young people, for young people and is about the young people
The Lights, Cameras, Social Action! project kicks-off from Monday 14th until Friday 18th February, with an intensive week of workshops from 4 – 7pm, followed by 4 weekly sessions where you will create and share your own film using smartphone technology.
You’ll have the opportunity to tell your story through film, explore your creativity, develop your changemaking skills and drive positive social change to your community. Your final film piece will be screened at the end of the programme.
Workshops will take place at Wac Arts – at the Old Town Hall, 213 Haverstock Hill, London NW3 4QP.
This dynamic new project has been made possible thanks to a partnership between Unloc, Wac Arts, and Sobriety Films, as well as through our passionate supporters including Camden Giving, a local organisation dedicated to developing equality and fairness.
Sobriety Films
Sobriety Films produce films that encourage debate and raise awareness about the societal and community issues that occur around the UK. Their focus is the hidden agenda and unheard stories of individuals and their experiences. Seeking truth and integrity, they endeavour to shine a light on the invisible people who strive for wholeness and well-being in our communities.
WAC Arts
Wac Arts are a charity driven by the needs of young people and the community, lifting generation after generation and empowering them with life skills that only the arts can offer. They have a strong commitment to those who face barriers to opportunity, using the infinite power of the arts to unleash the extraordinary potential of young people.
If you have a dream of working behind or in front of the camera then this is your opportunity to make a difference and share your life experience.
