Climate Change & Sustainability

Sign up to the Innovate4Environment Programme

Climate change is one of the defining challenges of our generation – and young people are at the forefront of shaping the solutions. While many aspire to pursue green careers, awareness of green skills and career pathways remains limited. This creates an urgent need to equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead sustainable transformation.

To address this, The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) and WMG at the University of Warwick are launching the Innovate4Environment: A UK–India Youth Skills Partnership Programme, an initiative funded by the Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grant by the British Council.

The programme offers a series of hybrid training workshops where you will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Ecology, Environment and Climate Change
  • Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Sustainable Agriculture
  • Waste Management
  • Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy Systems
  • Sustainable Buildings
  • Geospatial, Data, and Market Analysis
  • Communication and Participatory Methods / Project Management Skills
  • Life Cycle Engineering

Each workshop combines expert masterclasses, practical activities, collaborative problem-solving labs, and both online and in-person engagement, with in‑person delivery taking place at the University of Warwick in mid‑July.
The programme culminates in a hybrid national camp, where participants will showcase climate-focused prototypes to a distinguished jury of policymakers, industry leaders, and sustainability experts.

If you are passionate about climate action and want to build future-ready green skills while connecting with peers across the UK and India, this programme is designed for you.
