Calling all 14-19 year old students living and studying in the Portsmouth area! Unloc is working with young people this Autumn to help them become young leaders thanks to our free Unloc Leadership Academy!

Run in partnership with our fantastic partners Verizon, the Unloc Leadership Academy is an initiative to incubate passionate young people, supporting their personal development into the world of leadership, and to channel their energies into making a difference and tackling social issues in their community and area.

It’s the perfect way to grow and incubate young changemakers and help them learn how to impact positive change not just in their own lives – but in the world around them.

Our team of facilitators will help guide those on the programme, developing their skills sets, building their confidence, and showing them pro-active ways to develop their potential as leaders.

Who’s it for?

The Leadership Academy opportunity is open to any student in Portsmouth who is 14 – 19 years old.

You don’t need to have held a leadership role in the past or currently, just have a passion for personal development through leadership skills, as well as the commitment to create a social action project, with opportunities to expand beyond the Leadership Academy with support from Unloc and our partners Verizon.

The nine-session course will be run over a period of 10 weeks and will occur on Tuesday, from 4pm – 5.45pm; starting Tuesday 4th October 2022.

There will be a break for half-term on Tuesday 25th October 2022, and the programme will end on Tuesday 9th December 2022.

These dynamic and fun-filled in-person sessions will be held at our Changemaker Studios: Portsmouth space at the Guildhall Portsmouth, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, Hampshire. PO1 2AB
