Summer Virtual Work Experience Programme 2026

Are you studying towards A levels, or equivalent qualifications, and looking for work experience with a law firm?

We have a fantastic opportunity for students to join us for a virtual 3-day work experience programme.

When does it take place and who can apply?

Our upcoming programme is open to students studying towards A levels or equivalent qualifications, taking place online via Microsoft Teams, 10.00am – 4.00pm, Tuesday 14 July to Thursday 16 July 2026.

What will I be doing?

You will take part in a variety of activities that are designed to help you develop important transferable skills for your future career including:

  • Routes into a law firm
  • Skills for employment
  • Group debates
  • Research and presentation

Following the skills builder activities in the morning, you will then spend time with some of our teams for an insight into the work of a commercial law firm.

Throughout the programme you will be supported by colleagues from across the firm and will also have time to ask lots of questions to learn more about the different careers at Womble Bond Dickinson.

How do I apply?

Places on our work experience programme are limited, and we ask that you submit an application form to register your interest and tell us why you would like to take part.

Applications will close on Friday 29 May (11:59pm) and we will be in touch soon after that to let you know if we are able to offer you a place on our work experience programme.

If you are successful in securing a place, you will not be required to come into an office as the full programme is delivered online via Microsoft Teams, but you will need access to a computer or laptop and internet connection. As this is an interactive programme, you will need to have your camera and mic turned on throughout the work experience placement to take part in the activities.

If this isn’t the right programme for you (or the right time), connect with us on LinkedIn, ‘X’ (Formally known as Twitter) and Instagram (@WBD_CareersUK), and register with our Early Talent Community.

We also have a pre-recorded work experience programme that you can complete in your own time. Our pre-recorded programme includes 4 modules to complete and can be accessed here.

The deadline for applications is
