The thriving Young Entrepreneurs Challenge brought to you by Unloc and Verizon has officially been announced for 2021 and will go live for applications on Friday 1st October!
Now in its fourth year, the esteemed annual online entrepreneurship competition for young people across Europe aims to encourage and attract the dynamic new business leaders of tomorrow.
To enter, young people will be asked to record a 60-90 second pitch video, as well as complete a comprehensive application which outlines their business idea. Applications will be considered based on their viability, technology innovation and sustainability.
Finalists will be announced on the 1st February 2022.
The Grand Final next year will see the finalists compete head-to-head, pitching their business concept live to a panel of expert judges and invited guests representing both business and education.
The winner will receive a £10,000 Grand Prize, funding, mentorship, a technology package in order to launch their business, as well as a ticket to the Global One Young World 2022 Tokyo Summit in Japan.
Finalist runners up will each receive £1,000 of funding to inject into their start up business.

ABOUT – last year’s Grand Prize Winner Rowan Armstrong
Rowan Armstrong of BioLiberty was crowned the winner of the 2020 Verizon/Unloc Young Entrepreneurs Challenge. His company, which specialises in an assistive robotic glove
for people suffering long term conditions such as MS and Arthritis, fought off strong
competition from across Europe to win £10,000 of funding plus a business mentor
package during the online grand final held on February 25 2021.
