Unloc & KSM Telecom team up on entrepreneurship programme for young people

Unloc are teaming up with Portsmouth based company KSM Telecom to inspire and develop the skills of young people across the area through the Portsmouth College Enterprise Roadshow.

Each year the Roadshow reaches over 1,000 14 and 15 year olds from 5 different schools, to enable them to explore entrepreneurship, and develop the creative problem solving skills that will arm them for a pro-active and positive future. Both in their careers and personal development.

Each school taking part provides their students with the opportunity to get stuck into a full-day of enterprise challenges and skills workshops.

These workshops, games, challenges and debates provide the young people with a growth opportunity for their future that sits outside their standard curricular studies. Giving them a unique opportunity to think outside the box and consider their career pathways.

The skills they learn will build their confidence, expand their minds and problem solving abilities, and encourage them to consider their future aspirations.

KSM Telecom are working with Unloc as our headline business sponsor, helping make the programme accessible to schools in the Portsmouth area.

The Portsmouth Ambassadors programme aims to engage the local community and businesses, to drive passion for the city. The overall target is to recruit Ambassadors who will carry the positive message to everybody.

In addition, KSM Telecom are also providing inspiring speakers to share their own career insights as part of each event.

Already, with KSM Telecom’s support, the Portsmouth College Enterprise Roadshow has reached Mayfield School, Miltoncross School and Admiral Lord Nelson School.

Moving forwards the Unloc team will be able to deliver these powerful messages and inspirational workshops to even more Portsmouth young people.

Managing Director of Unloc, Hayden Taylor said:

“KSM Telecom are not just a fantastic example of a successful local business in Portsmouth, but also of an organisation who give back to the community, and encourage others to share their success and give back also. Thanks to their support we can take our message of developing young potential to more young people across the area, and expand on the success of our previous roadshows, encouraging more young people in Portsmouth to create their own success story.”
