Do you have the power? Young people in the Camden area certainly will with the launch of Changemaker Studios new series of motivational and inspiring sessions with a wide range of inspirational and empowering guest speakers!
The Power Series is our dynamic new range of events, branded under our Changemaker Studios, to connect and inspire the students at Westminster Kingsway College and within the Capital City College Group network. Students will be able to access a fantastic new Power Series session each term. Each event will carry a theme in which the speaker has had a particular impact and influence.
The Power Series launches next Friday 12 March at 3pm with our very first session ‘Taking charge and reclaiming your power’ with the sensational Entrepreneur, International Speaker, DJ and Content Creator Nissy Tee.
Currently delivered online due to social distancing, each one hour Power Series session will provide an exciting platform for guest speakers to share their own power and influence with young people on how they can become future change makers, and young leaders who make a lasting impact.
Nissy Tee’s YouTube channel boasts over 55K subscribers and over 3 Million lifetime views. Nissy uses her voice and social media channels to discuss a range of topics including race, relationships, identity and social-economic issues, as well as giving her viewers advice all in attempt to motivate and encourage others.
In addition to this, Nissy is also a presenter both on radio and online, a host, and a guest speaker. Nissy is the founder of The Powerless Masterclass, and also a Digital Strategist who primarily focuses on social media marketing strategy helping smaller brands/ companies build their social media presence, engage with new customers and become a more diverse and inclusive brand.
The Powers Series is just one of the exciting new offers from our Changemaker Studios, located in Westminster Kingsway College. This first Changemaker Studios space launched back in December 2020 with the intention to host live events, workshops and talks to the students at the college and the local community.
The Power Series was created to virtually connect the students at the college to a series of inspiring speakers and continue providing those connections to them in these uncertain times. The Power Series is one of our first dynamic projects aimed at inspiring students throughout the pandemic, something we’ll continue to do in person when restrictions lift.
Our aim is for the Power Series to have a positive, lasting effect on the students at Westminster Kingsway, Capital City College Group and the surrounding community.
Young people can be the spark that ignites serious change, so through inspiring students with our series of successful speakers, our aim is to motivate them in taking the first steps in their own journeys as young changemakers.
Our future guest speakers are from a diverse range of industries, to inspire a broad base of students and to tap into the interests of as many young people as possible. Our schedule includes incredible speakers from the worlds of technology, social media and design, and is brought to you through our Changemaker Studios, and partners Westminster Kingsway College, and Visionnaires.
