Former English teacher with 12 years experience in Student Voice. Currently Student Voice Link Teacher at King Richard School, responsible for Student Council, student elections and all Student Voice related activities and trips. I’m passionate about working with young people and helping them discover their potential as the future leaders of the world.
Alan has worked in Healthcare and Medical Research, as Chairman and Chief Executive of large multi-national companies and smaller technology start-ups. He teaches in Universities in UK, Europe, North America and Asia with Professorships in European and Chinese Universities. He has raised and managed a Venture Capital Fund and, is a Business Angel Investor and Trustee of charities. His current work is focussed heavily on the development of UK-China Trade and Relationships including cross-continental investment. Most recently appointed Chairman of a £3billion RMB Chinese Technology Venture Fund. Alan promotes the vision of “A World Without Borders”.
Tian works for a Multi Academy Trust, leading careers strategy and supporting schools in developing their career and enrichment planning. He brings knowledge of the MAT landscape to support and inform the work of Unloc. He has previously worked within HE, leading programmes to widen access to university, and this is where he first built links with Unloc.
A very experienced headteacher and educationalist, with cross sector experience, having worked in a range of independent schools and with a number of Catholic primary schools as a Diocesan inspector. Also used to helping independent schools in an advisory capacity as a former chair of a national committee of headteachers.

David has a wealth of experience working in student voice and PSHE. David has been a trained teacher and local authority education adviser. Having headed up the Hong Kong-UK British Council schools partnership, David offers an international perspective to our offering.

Director of Morph PR. Rachel is a highly experienced marketing professionals with strong creative, technical and management skills. Rachel is also the Marketing and Communications Lead at the Safer Portsmouth Partnership.
A Chartered Engineer, Rod Edwards has had considerable experience in public sector (the Royal Navy/MOD), the private sector (managing a number of international technology-focused companies) and the ‘third sector’ (most recently as Chief Executive of the Young Engineers charity). Living in Portsmouth, Rod is passionate about the City and helping young people in the City achieve their full potential. He is involved in a number of local charities and good causes.
